This compilation includes many of my favorite NASA UFO encounters/sightings that I have archived over the years. All of these examples (with the exception of the second-to-last one) were captured on film by NASA astronauts or Russian Cosmonauts over the past half-century – showing many amazing examples from different eras – Gemini, Apollo, Apollo/Soyuz Test Project, Skylab, STS, the ISS, plus a couple Russian-source additions from their unmanned Zond and Mir Space Station programs as well thrown in to round things out. The second last example is the only one in the compilation that features footage that was not taken in space and is not official-source (NASA or Soviet/Russian Space Agency). That clip shows an LTP (Lunar Transient Phenomenon) event captured through a camera connected to the eyepiece of a terrestrial-based telescope that luckily was being focused on the Moon at the time. In this case, the LTP manifests as an object transiting across the face of the lunar disc. Many thanks to amateur astronomer Alberto Mayer of Italy for doing a wonderful job of filming this stunning event (and for stacking the footage for us all to see). While the examples you will see here captured on film can all be “officially” classified as “unidentified” objects, that absolutely does NOT mean that NASA, the DoD, and certain elements within the scientific community worldwide are completely in the dark as to what these things you are seeing are. Bellevue, WA (PRWEB) July 09, 2011

Door to door magazine sale frauds have been present for years, yet during summer months the frequency of the deception rises. PublicRecordFinder.com has the resources to be a valuable tool for consumer protection against these thieves. Scammers solicit Magazine subscriptions door to door, offering a significant discount to many popular magazines such as Life, Time, Newsweek, and many more. While the premise is consistent, there are many different ways this scam works. Sometimes the people who go door to door selling are perpetrating the fraud themselves, and other times they are simply field agents for the people who are running this fraud against their knowledge.

Companies such as these hire teens and young adults to preserve the appearance of innocence so that unsuspecting victims will kindly answer the door to them. The field agents introduce themselves; explain that they are selling magazines for charity, or to try to earn money for education or travel. Their sales pitch is based on a lie, and the magazine sale is a lie as well. Summer is the best time for companies such as this to send out most field agents, since many people let their guard down and are enjoying summer vacations and beautiful weather. If a sale is completed via cash or credit card the company is then able to collect such valuable information such as address, credit card number and expiration date, bank account number and routing number. This information is significant enough to allow the fraudsters to use the financial information in the future to steal from the victim.

PublicRecordFinder.com is a valuable resource to protect consumers from falling victim to scams such as these, and offers the following tips to educate the public:

1. When approached by a sales person that appears to be authentic and trustworthy, consumers should be sure to write down their first and last name, business, and phone number. Use PublicRecordFinder.com to search public records for the first and last name, enter the 10-digit phone number, and search the business name. PublicRecordFinder.com uses the newest technologies to access public records found online with the most up-to-date information.

2. If a consumer has already fallen prey to door-to-door magazine fraud, they can use PublicRecordFinder.com to gain information about the thief and the company that they work for. This information can be used to call the police, and the Better Business Bureau to report the company.

3. If payment was made via check, the check should be cancelled and the victim should try to call to cancel the subscription. Calling will be fruitless but it is important to make a record of the attempt. It is best to close the checking account because the company and sales person now has the victim?s routing number and account number. It can be used to transfer money out of the account even if the check is cancelled.

PublicRecordFinder.com reminds consumers to be cautious of giving personal information to any person that approaches unsolicited at a personal residence. PublicRecordFinder.com is a constant and valuable resource that can be depended on to protect consumers from any variety of malicious scams.

Question by Jeffrey: Does a DUI in California prevent me from obtaining a “absence of criminal record”?
I need to get a “absence of criminal record” from the FBI in order to apply for a student visa at the Spanish consulate. I’m not sure if a DUI prevents me from obtaining this document. The DUI was over 5 years ago (not sure if time is a factor).

Best answer:

Answer by John S
A DUI is a misdemeanor offense in California, and is a criminal conviction if you got it as an adult. You might be able to get a post-conviction dismissal under Penal Code section 1203.4, though that will not entirely eliminate it from your record. You will need to check with the Spanish consulate to see if this will be sufficient for visa purposes.

gI tpr02.PNG ThePublicRecords.com Announces Public Records Search Service That Protects Small Business Owners from Contractor Fraud
San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) April 7, 2011

Economic difficulties have made the likelihood of fraud in the workplace greater because businesses have cut costs, cut people and small to medium sized businesses are forced to outsource projects and other business functions. Newly launched ThePublicRecords.com seeks to protect business owners from unnecessary loss due to vendor or private contractor fraud by providing the ability to search public records through variety of government and public record links using its innovative cloud based technology.

Most vendor fraud falls into three categories. The most common offenses include things such as double invoicing, padding expenses, or fraudulent billing. Less common, but still prevalent is deliberate falsification of financial statements, incomplete or shoddy work, or hiding of liabilities and expenses. This kind of corruption can lead to major financial losses, conflict of interest or even major legal problems that leave unsuspecting business owners holding the bill. ThePublicRecords.com puts power into the hands of the business owner, allowing them to get all information necessary to protect against vendor or contractor fraud.

These are individuals who lack any sense of ethics and will steal from any business or individual without feelings of guilt or concern. There is no thought of justifying the behavior, they simply steal. Unfortunately the economic difficulties add to the growing number of contractors and vendors who steal due to their own difficult financial situations.

What can business owners do to protect themselves from employee theft?

Most individuals who engage in fraud or theft have a history. ThePublicRecords.com indexes various free public records websites to assist people in performing free public record searches and provides background checks, criminal history checks, and civil judgment reports that allow businesses to be sure that the prospective or existing vendor or contractor has a clean record. The best means of fraud prevention is to learn all that there is to know about potential and ongoing vendors and contractors and cultivate strong and trusting relationships.

Question by Jayla: Can I retrieve old message archives from an older version even after I upgrade to a new version?
I recently had to download yahoo messenger again due to my computer having a virus. My message archives dated back to 2006. Once I downloaded the latest version, it seems that message archive had been deleted or lost. Is there anyway that I can retrieve or view old message archives from the previous version ?

Best answer:

Answer by echinopsis .
The messenger archive is always saved on your own harddrive, usually in “CProgram FilesYahoo!MessengerProfiles”. By downloading another messenger, the old info was overwritten. If you do a system restore before the time where you installed the new messenger, you should get the old archive back (they are dat files). Copy the archive and move it to another location. Then you will have to download and install the messenger one more time and enable the archive feature. After enabling it, copy and paste the old archive to the location of the new, still empty archive – that should do it.

Be careful though, if you have the slightest suspicion that your archive may have been infected by the virus and if you did not get completely rid of the virus before the archive was lost, I would not try the method described above, it may be too risky then. Note: YA does not keep back-ups of your archive, you can’t get help from them.
