Go to the courthouse. Ask to see the file. Look at it.

A good way is to check online court records. A good source for court records nationwide is CourtReference: http://www.courtreference.com/ which contains information on courts including whether online court records are available. Some courts allow records to be searched for free, while other courts charge for the records. This website is free to use. Good luck!
