Why does everyone think the government phone records is something new?
The news of today is that our government is keeping and tracking our phone records. This began in 1997 when Bill Clinton was President.
WAY!!!!!!!
This program was approved by the U.S. Supreme Court.
well actually it started way earlier than that – but what makes this so bad is that well, its being done on a much wider scale – and they can use that evidence against you in court -

Yeah, they’ve been doing this for a long time, but it seems like it’s getting bigger. It’s good that this ‘story’ has come out, maybe, just maybe (probably not) it will make people more aware of what is happening.

When you sign your phone contract, it says that the company will not release your phone records. The government is trying to get all the lawsuits over this violation of contract thrown out. The government does not keep these records, the phone companies do and are now releasing the records to the government. I enjoy my rights, I don’t enjoy when my rights are violated.
