All of us experiences having a new neighbor move near our homes. Now if you think that you are feeling somehow suspicious about that person’s actions, what should you do to make sure that the said person is really someone who wouldn’t cause you or your loved ones with any harm?

Asking the person with several questions to discover about their past would surely prove to be futile only since if there is really something bad that the person has in his or her profile, it will be unlikely that the person will admit that to you. This is simply logical since there are really few criminals that would confess about their past criminal acts to anyone else.

Still, you would need to be reassured about the person so you would have peace of mind. What you can do when you really want to make sure about your new neighbor is to actually access copies of existing criminal records.

Criminal records are legal documents that have been filled in different government offices (mostly in law enforcement offices) and they contain information about any criminal acts that the person has ever committed. Included in the actual criminal records are also some personal details about the person such as his or her legal full name, date of birth, address and many others.

The good thing is that these criminal records are easily accessible. You can either get your own copies through online and offline methods. For example, you can go to the right police department offices where you think the person has a criminal record. Records are generally kept according to the area of jurisdiction so if a certain document has been filled elsewhere, you would have little hopes of obtaining it from another office.
