do you understand the term ‘independent contractor’
I dont have an EMPLOYER !
I am self employed ! duh
If you have experience in doing this procedure, you should know about how much time, and what fees are required. If you are an independent contractor, you will have to pay your taxes quarterly, and your income tax will not be withheld- Price your time, and figure the expenses, and start somewhere reasonable, then you can adjust your charges from there.

I you are "applying for a position as", you don’t have any say in how much is charged. YOUR EMPLOYER charges what they feel is appropriate and they pay you salary or hourly wage…

They all charge a different fee and it will vary depending on city, state and federal. I would say on average your looking at about 10 per request and in some cases they only give you the first 10 pages and then charge more for more pages.
then the fee may increase if you don’t have the right information. To do a general name search the fees can be different.
I would make some calls to your city and county court houses and find out the fees and then add a fee for your time that you feel is appropriate.
