I’m preparing a 3 day/two night trip to Washington DC in late August and 1 of the locations I need to see is the National Archives. I was asking yourself about how long does it take to completely get pleasure from what the Archives has to provide?

Assuming that you just want to see the exhibits, rather than devote time performing study, 2-3 hours ought to be sufficient to tour the displays, see the orientation film, and to slowly appear at the Charters of Freedom in the rotunda.

Check out the gift shop–it’s really very good.

There are frequently unique guest talks at the National Archives. I was down to one such lecture some years ago when one of my college professors was talking on the topic of Native Americans.
